Hi Backers!
I just wanted to connect with you once again. Every Kickstarter project that I've been involved with is about bringing people together, making connections, and cultivating curiosity. It is with these values in mind that I along with endless collaborators over the years have poured our love, time, and energy into Blinks. You helped make this happen and we've come so far since 2018.
In this moment, now more than ever, it is so important to take the time to connect with each other, across the table, across the aisle, and across the world. We believe that games will change the world and we're bringing that sense of wonder, the spirit of community, and playful experiences will improve each of our lives.
We see lots of your posting and enjoying your Blinks and now is the best time to expand your collection.
There are 6 brand new games (some of our favorites) available today in the Community Expansion, and you can get them shipped today, here through our website.
Just two weeks ago, we launched the Blinks Game System + Epic Adventure Expansion. We funded in 36hrs, but you can still get one of the limited sets shipping for the holidays. Whether these Blinks are for you or a loved one, we could all use a little Adventure this holiday.
LA Times listed Blinks as a "Best Gaming Gift of 2020" and called them "downright enchanting." We can't wait to hear what you think.

With all of the tough news in the world, I hope you are ready for some good news to start the weekend.
SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED
With every possible hurdle run into and documented in this 2 year journey, this plane is taking flight, and fast, and we want your help in propelling Blinks because the sky's the limit. With the help of our dedicated and fast acting fulfillment partner ShipBob, we have all of your orders out of the door!
ShipBob Tracking Emails
We're truly grateful that ShipBob, our new fulfillment partners, are able to work safely on completing fulfillment of all of your rewards. Unfortunately, the tracking email system from ShipBob did not work as planned, so if you are awaiting a shipment, you should have received a personal email from Jon with your tracking number in it. If you have not received that email and are awaiting a package, send an email to [email protected] and we'll be quick to follow up.
6 More Games, 6 More Games
Can you hear the chanting?! You asked, and you shall receive. In just one week, April 29th, we'll be launching a new Kickstarter campaign for the next six games we are publishing for Blinks. That's right. We shipped over 200 developer kits and we've been so impressed by the range, depth, dynamism of what our community has come up with. All 6 of these games are not designed by Move38, but designed within our community (which happens to include some incredible indie-game dev celebs).

You can tell all of your friends, mark your calendar, and join us at 10am on 4/29 and click that powerful green button to say, yes we can.
Since we've set up our entire process, this time around, we get to be fast. Those 2 years of development means we can now turn around games in 3 months.
Due to the situation with COVID, Move38 has become a completely remote operation. To make sure the final shipments made it out, the developer kits and Blanks were hand packed (with gloves) in my incredibly sanitized apartment (thanks Jamie 😘). Here's a couple of pics of the process, it was honestly a lot of fun especially knowing all of you would be opening these up and have them to keep you company during quarantine.
Some Shipping Easter Eggs
You might have noticed the Blanks (extra blinks w/o games) were shipped in beautifully shiny electrostatic free bags. On the outside, there is a Blinks sticker. Because we thought you might want to reuse that sticker, it is adhered so you can peel it away, much like a McDonalds monopoly piece :). Those Blinks stickers look great on laptops, water bottles, and probably pretty cool on a face shield 😷❤️.
If you ordered a 6 Blinks Dev Kit... guess what, you got an extra Blink :) Lucky #7.
#BlinksRecess Challenge
APRIL 29th is the kickoff for the next 6 games for Blinks, but they won't ship until July. So we want to give you all a chance to get pre-release games.

Hi Backers!
Blinks is about the importance of connection and community and we're rolling out more ways to stay connected during this time. We wanted to update you on new ways to stay connected, shipping updates, and new games for Blinks coming soon.
In this time of physical distancing and social interconnectedness we want to keep you entertained with new Blinks content. Watching people play games is a great way to learn to play games. If you missed our stream from last week, here is a link to watch Dan and I share gameplay for 6 NEW GAMES in development!
Since my partner Jamie is taking shifts in the hospital, she'll be home quite a bit next week and I've roped her into being on camera (she's stuck with me :). We'll pick games from the Core and Expansion set to play live and share with you. Subscribe to our YouTube for notification.
A Moment to Connect
We really want to know how you use your Blinks, how you play with them and make ourselves available for your maximum enjoyment. If you'd love to learn more to do with your Blinks or give us your honest opinion, grab one of the 10 slots I've created for next week to Zoom/Hangout/Meet/Skype.
Shipping Update
For those of you eagerly awaiting Blinks, the wait is nearly over. Our inventory is on a plane and being unloaded at our distribution center next week. Our goal is to have Blinks shipping your way by April 10th, if they ship sooner, you'll receive an email and tracking number letting you know they are on their way. (Note: this past week has been a lot of exciting coordination to switch from a model of hosting packing parties to setting up some CDC approved fulfillment)
Help us w/ our next Kickstarter
We are so excited to be bringing the next games to the platform. With your help, we want to show the world how much everyone loves their Blinks by sharing short clips of y'all playing your favorite games. We've made a couple and started to post them so you know what we mean (note, we love seeing your reactions too)

A Birthday Special
WHAT!!!?! What's this? This Sunday, on March 29th, it's not just one of Move38's team members' birthdays, but two of their birthdays... on the same day! Shipping Updates, PAX East, & Alt-GDC

Hey Backers,
With over two-thirds of our kickstarter rewards in your hands, we have to say an immeasurable thanks to the more than 300 of you that are patiently awaiting shipment of your own Blinks. We want to keep you in the loop including how the Coronavirus affects shipping. Our amazing manufacturer keeps us updated on a daily basis. They safely returned to work and our part suppliers are returning to work as well. According to our production schedule, Blinks will be in the US by the first week of April. Next stop, your doorstep.
PAX East & Sneak Peek

Kickstarter invited us to join their futuristic setup at PAX East and we broke out our Blinks for 4 days straight. While other tables showed games they had Kickstarted, we used the occasion to sneak peek the next 6+ games that we’ll be Kickstarting for Blinks.
The coolest thing about these games is that they aren’t made by us. They are made by the Blinks community–people who’ve joined us at Game Jams, met at awards shows, and events across the US. This year, we plan to have more than 24 games in the Blinks library and the developer forum is already providing a steady stream of new games.
Crowd's gathered all weekend to play test soon to be released games
Alt GDC
Public health concerns have resulted in canceled events across the US, and just this week the Game Developer Conference (GDC) was officially cancelled. In GDC's place, smaller focussed events have popped up. Move38 will be in San Francisco, March 16th - 18th and organizing opportunities for game developers to make their own Blinks games. We'll be sharing more details as they are finalized next week. We'd love to meet backers that are in the Bay Area (comment below and we'll be sure to reach out).

Hey Backers,
It’s been a month since our last shipping update, so we wanted to keep you in the loop. Additionally, we have some recaps of recent events and an insider peek at what’s next for Blinks.
Shipping Update
We were scheduled for the next delivery this week which has been delayed by the Coronavirus outbreak in China. Based on conversations with our manufacturer there is a delay of at minimum a few weeks. We will keep you posted.
To all of the incredible backers that opted into waiting on delivery, thanks for your patience, we promise the games will be just as good (if not better) when they arrive.
New Devs & New Friends from Global Game Jam 2020

We’ve participated in GGJ in some capacity in the past and this year we pulled out all the stops to sponsor and participate in the Playcrafting NYC @Microsoft event. With over 700 game developers, and 10 teams with Blinks developer kits, this event was a hit! Read more about it here.
PAX East
Feb 27th - March 1st
When Kickstarter says we are a “project they love” we take it to heart. And on this Valentines Day, they are proving it. From 4-6pm everyday (2/27 - 3/1)at PAX East, Blinks is going to be at the Kickstarter booth sharing games from the Kickstarter, and sneak peeks of at least 6 of the next games coming to Blinks.
New Games, New Kickstarter
Speaking of Kickstarter. Together with the developer community, we’ve been busy making and play testing the next six games. We are almost ready to launch the next 6 games. That means new games for you. We’ll be sneak previewing some of them in the coming weeks and we hope you all are interested in continuing to make Blinks a sustainable and fun games platform. What kinds of games would you like to see make their way onto the Blinks platform? Let us know in the comments below :)
